Maxim Anferov

Maxim was born in Kazakhstan and entered the Astana Art School at the age of 9. From 1996 to 2001, he successfully studied at the Art Lyceum of Ryazan, Russia. In 2001, Maxim enrolled in the first year of the Moscow State Academic Art Institute named after V. I. Surikov in Moscow and received a master's degree six years later. In 2007, he was accepted to the Mosfilm courses under the guidance of K.G. Shakhnazarov and received a diploma in production design. For the next 2 years, Maxim worked on creating sets for films and at the same time engaged in monumental works. In 2011, Maxim and his wife moved to Cyprus, where they opened the Pafosart art school together and created a puppet theater for children. Maxim actively participates in symposiums and group exhibitions in Cyprus and Russia, and his works are in private collections in Cyprus, Russia and Brussels. Since 2019, Maxim has been designing and creating decorations for theater productions and dance schools in Cyprus. In 2024, Maxim acted as the main production designer and created the sets for the American film Entropy, which was shot in Cyprus.
